Calidris alba  

A short walk at Danger Point provided good views of hundreds of waders. In amongst the Red-capped Plovers, Double-banded Plovers and Red-necked Stints were Sanderlings. I was frustrated that a car decided to drive along the beach just as I started to walk closer to photograph these birds and they flushed.

I was pleased that Vik arrived a few minutes later and was able to get much better photos of these pretty waders.
